Named for Isabel Schnapps Zucker, Cornell Class of ’23, the Zucker Shrub Garden, located in the Botanic Gardens’ F.R. Newman Arboretum, is a remarkable place to view perennials, shrubs, and ornamental grasses. Its “garden rooms” show how such plants can be used in inspiring ways. The shrubs featured in each room are selected for their flowers, fruit, fall color, and winter interest.  Join horticulturist Nick Polato to explore how ecological traits and cultural history relate to the stories of how these plants from around the globe found their place in our home gardens.  Walk will be held rain or shine; please dress appropriately for the weather. Pre-registration required as space is limited.

Fee:                     $12 general admission; free for Botanic Gardens members; Learn more about Membership here.

Instructor:          Nicholas Polato, horticulturist

Location:            Meet by the Zucker Shrub Collection, just inside the Forest Home Drive entrance to the Arboretum.  Parking nearby.  Click here for a Google Map showing the location.
