Title: Science Policy Under the Second Trump Administration

Host:  Brad Ramshaw

Abstract:  Science has taken on a key policy role during the second administration of US President Donald Trump. Over the past 9 months I have covered the dramatic changes to the US research landscape, primarily for Nature's news team. In this talk I will use that front-row experience as a science journalist to explain what those policy changes are, who they impacted, how we learned about them in the moment, and where they look to be heading. Finally, I will try to—as much as is possible—explain why this is happening.
