Cornell University

Dark Laboratory is an engine for research on Black and Indigenous relationality and ecologies in the Americas.  Founded by Tao Leigh Goffe and Jeffrey Palmer, we begin our inquiry in rural Upstate New York and the soil of Cornell University to ask difficult questions about intergenerational storytelling and the sedimented layers of the dispossession of Native sovereignty and African enslavement as entangled in the story of the United States.

The event is sponsored by the Cornell Rural Humanities Initiative from an award by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
