New Meets Old: Collaborative Confrontations to inaugurate the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards. Join us for a celebration of the wide range of keyboard instruments in our collection, including the organs, fortepianos, harpsichords, and more. Cornell faculty and students present multiple concerts and lecture-demonstrations, featuring music from J.S. Bach to Roberto Sierra.
“Keyboards in Conversation” Annette Richards (Aeolian Skinner and Vicedomini organs) and Richard Valitutto, Aditya Deshpande, Andy Sheng, and Thomas Reeves (Bechtstein and Schweighofer pianos). Includes music by Franck, Messiaen, Alain, Pärt, Sierra, and a premiere by Miles Friday.
