Come learn ways to chop, dice, and spice up some simple meals to cook up in a crockpot. The class will take place on Saturday, February 7th from 10AM to 11:30 AM at the Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCE) office in the Main Street Shop Center in Waterloo. Registration is $5 per person and samples will be served. Call 315-539-9251 or emailseneca@cornell.edu to sign up. This class is supported by a grant from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.
After work or school on these cold winter days, isn’t it nice to come home to a good smelling, delicious meal? Instead of turning to a pre-packaged frozen, drive thru, or take-out meal that is often high in sodium or fat, you can put healthy ingredients in a crockpot in the morning and come home to something homemade! Cornell Cooperative Extension nutrition educators will give you some skills and recipes to make home cooked meals both easy and nutritious, even on a busy schedule! So if you were one of those 62% of Americans who made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight or stay fit and healthy this year, come join us on Saturday, February 7th and learn some ways to make healthy, home-cooked meals with ease. Call Mo Tidball or Devra Rivkin at Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension at 315-539-9251 for more information.
