CPR & First Aid
October 24th 2015 from 9am to 4:30pm
The National Safety Council has been contracted by the NYS Office of Children & Family Services to deliver a FREE Pediatric and Adult CPR, AED and First Aid program for licensed day care providers.
The National Safety Council has been contracted by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to deliver a Pediatric and Adult CPR and AED and First Aid program that will meet the needs of regulated child care providers effective December 1, 2014.
This 7 hour Pediatric First Aid and CPR training program, designed for Day Care providers, allows the instructor and student to become active participants in the teaching and learning of Pediatric First Aid and CPR by making full use of today’s technology. This training program meets the State of New York’s first aid requirements for Day Care providers while covering the basics from breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children and adults but also bridges the gap between traditional adult first aid and the special needs for infants and children. The National Safety Council’s program has been written specifically for child care providers. The course also covers:
· How to prevent injuries
· Helps the Day Care provider identify a child’s condition
· Detailed descriptions of signs and symptoms
· Identifies typical injuries related to age and developmental level
· Includes what to do regarding common childhood illness
· Covers the basics in caring for bleeding, sudden illness, injuries and preventing disease transmission

In order for workshops/trainings to be held, a minimum of 10 attendees must be registered or else it might be cancelled. We offer the training to you for free, however we require a $10 deposit to hold your place in the class. Upon your arrival to the class, your $10 will be returned to you.

Registration for event is FULL.
