Cornell faculty will discuss Morrison’s work and her impact, then participate in a live Q&A with the audience. Pre-recorded talks by the Teach-In faculty will be available on the Arts Unplugged website by Oct. 8 so participants can view them on their own time before the live session with audience Q&A.

This event is part of this year's Arts Unplugged celebration of Morrison on the 50th anniversary of the publication of her first book, The Bluest Eye. Other events include an Oct. 8 community reading of The Bluest Eye, to be livestreamed via eCornell; a Feb. 18 roundtable discussion featuring national and international Morrison scholars; various community events in Ithaca and a spring reading of the stage version of The Bluest Eye.
Morrison is one of our most beloved alumni and her words resonate more than ever during this moment of national reckoning.
