Faculty in Cornell’s Department of Art are invited to exhibit work at the Johnson every few years, providing an opportunity for both the university community and the broader public to reflect on the relationship between education and practice. Cornell’s art faculty are deeply engaged in studio-based teaching and strive to develop students into confident and independent artists in their own right.
On view is work by Michael Ashkin, Roberto Bertoia, Leslie Brack, Robin Cameron, Christine Elfman, Renate Ferro, Gail Fitzgerald, Bill Gaskins, Branden Hookway, Anna Huff in collaboration with Nancy Lee Kelly, Joanna Malinowska, Elisabeth H. Meyer, Chris Oliver, Carl Ostendarp, Gregory Page, Maria Park, Barry Perlus, Jolene K. Rickard, Stan Taft, Dan Torop, and Jaret Vadera.
This exhibition was organized by Andrea Inselmann, curator of modern and contemporary art, and Laura Libert, curatorial assistant, at the Johnson Museum.
