Cornell Adoption of the Okanagan Charter to Become a Health-Promoting Campus

Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 3:30pm to 4:30pm

110 Ho Plaza

Cornell will be the first Ivy to formally adopt the international Okanagan Charter to Become a Health-Promoting Campus.

The charter was developed by health promotion scholars, researchers, practitioners, and administrators from 45 countries. Cornell leadership has embraced the charter as an important next step in advancing and sustaining changes recommended in the student Mental Health Review, changes that also align with Cornell’s comprehensive approach to student mental health and with campus workforce well-being priorities.

Adopting the charter signals Cornell's commitment to embed health into all aspects of campus culture, across the administration, and in its operations and academic mandates. It also affirms a commitment to the health and wellbeing of people, places, and planet.

Come celebrate the signing with university leaders, including Ryan Lombardi, Christine Lovely, Kathryn Boor, and Lisa Nishii. The first 500 attendees will receive a free Cornell tote bag.

This event is open to all members of the campus community.
