 e group meets monthly during the semester to explore a variety of classica
 l Chinese texts and styles. Other premodern texts linked to classical Chin
 ese in Japanese\, Korean\, and Vietnamese have also been explored. Present
 ations include works from the earliest times to the 20th century. Workshop
  sessions are led by local\, national\, and international scholars. Partic
 ipants with any level of classical Chinese experience are welcome to atten
 d.  \no    At each session\, a presenter guides the group in a reading of 
 a classical Chinese text. Attendees discuss historical\, literary\, lingui
 stic\, and other aspects of the text\, working together to resolve difficu
 lties in comprehension and translation.\no    No preparation is required\;
  all texts will be distributed at the meeting.\no    Refreshments will be 
 served.
