Interested in moving your software to the cloud or a supercomputer? Containerizing your software can significantly simplify the process. Container technologies, such as Docker and Singularity, have proven useful for portability and reproducibility in a variety of settings. We will explore why containers are useful for scientific computing, technologies for containerizing software, how they impact code performance, and how to get started using them to develop and deploy cloud and high-performance computing applications.
