Title: Cross-Section Measurement and In Situ Pulse Characterization for Three-Photon Microscopy


Abstract: Long wavelength three-photon fluorescence microscopy is a powerful biological tool for deep tissue imaging. A critical parameter to guide and optimize quantitative imaging is a fluorophore’s three-photon cross-section. In this talk I will present experimental measurements of the absolute value of the three-photon cross-section of fluoresceine across a large spectral range. Additionally, I will present a method for in situ characterization of an ultrafast laser pulse in order to improve cross-section measurement accuracy.
