Our planet. Our future. Our responsibility.

Join us for a Climates of Change information session on Wednesday, November 14, in the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts' Black Box Theatre. Free pizza will be served!

Applied theater, environmental justice, and civic engagement come together in this interdisciplinary PMA course (PMA 4825/6825, Spring 2018). Students will work with residents of Tompkins County to create a Living Newspaper, a type of multi-media performance, about the human impact of global warming on the Finger Lakes. We will craft the script through academic research, interviews, and Story Circles, a form of community-based dialogue. The class will stage the play on campus and across the region. No previous theatrical experience or scientific expertise is necessary to take part in the course.
