Shane Hawkins is Associate Professor of Classics and Director of the College of the Humanities at Carleton University (Ottawa). His research includes historical and comparative linguistics and invective poetry in classical authors (especially Archilochus, Hipponax, and Catullus). His book Studies in the Language of Hipponax was published in 2013 (Hempen) and he is currently working on Greek Iambic Poetry, an edition and commentary for the Aris & Phillips Classical Texts series.
