Opportunities for Research with Confidential Federal Statistical Data at the Cornell FSRDC
Nichole Szembrot, Administrator of the Cornell Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC), will explain opportunities to use restricted-access data through the FSRDC located at CISER. A wide variety of datasets produced by the Census Bureau and other federal agencies are available. This data may be of use to faculty and graduate students interested in labor economics, public economics, energy and environmental economics, industrial organization, entrepreneurship, international trade, the economics of education, the economics of housing, policy analysis, health economics, and the economics of crime. In addition to describing the available data, she will outline the proposal process used to access the data. This workshop will be especially useful to secondand third-year graduate students, as well as faculty members who are not already familiar with the FSRDC.
