Pianist Xak Bjerken is joined by baritone Brian V. Sengdala for a concert of Schubert’s epic Schwanengesang as well as a performance of an unpublished song by Steven Stucky, his final work for voice entitled Out of the Cradle, Endlessly Rocking. These composers set poetry in such an evocative and dramatic fashion, ideally suited for the intimate Guerlac Room at the A.D. White House.
