INTERESTED IN SCIENCE OUTREACH?

STEP-UP IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO MENTOR LOCAL MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR PART TIME INTERNSHIPS THIS SUMMER!

The goal of the STEP internship program is to expose students to a variety of educational enrichment opportunities in STEM and the licensed professions. Internships may teach STEM content in a hands-on setting, provide exposure to STEM/licensed profession fields of study, or offer college/career preparation skills.

Mentors are welcome to mentor in pairs.  We suggest hosting students in small groups of between 2 - 4 STEP students with a target ratio of 1 mentor to 1 - 2 STEP students.

As a guideline, please plan for your internship to last about 20 hours. Mentors are welcome to plan longer internships if they wish (about 40 total hours) but this is not required. Internships will take place between July 10th - August 4th, 2023 on a schedule determined by the mentor. Information about your schedule preference will be collected below.
