February 27Policy and Puro Ambiente - Loteria Social

Join Asociación de Centroamericanos Unidos (ACaU) and hang out, laugh, and connect in a relaxed space. We’ll have culturally relevant TV playing in the background—like novelas, documentary clips, and more—touching on themes such as immigration, labor, education, and broader Latinx experiences. Pizza and refreshments will be provided! RSVP via Campus Groups

March 6: The Oversexualization of Women of Color:

Join Mecha, NAISAC, BOSS, SAC, and APAA as we discuss the oversexualization of women of color. We will explore different media depictions and analyze how these harmful representations affect the women of our communities. Afterwards, we will write affirmation notes for ourselves and our loved ones as we enjoy churros and hot chocolate!

March 13: Got Tested?: Join the Hermanas of the Alpha Chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad / Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. for a culturally affirming roundtable discussion primarily serving Latinas and inclusive of all people of color. In partnership with STAP, this event will encourage participants to get tested in the following weeks by promoting accessible, confidential HIV/STI testing—no insurance, no parents, no judgment—available on both Cornell and Ithaca College campuses. Food will be provided to foster community dialogue and reduce stigma around testing.

March 20: Café con Leche x MECHA

Join us for a conversation honoring the mothers and caregivers who nurture, guide, and hold our communities together. We’ll reflect on their roles, share personal stories, and end the evening writing letters of gratitude to the caregivers that sustain us. RSVP in Campus Groups.

April 10Menstruation Workshop: Join Las Hermanas of the Alpha Chapter of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. for a Café con Leche conversation on menstruation and menstrual health. This interactive workshop, open to all genders, will explore menstrual cycles, break down stigma, and highlight why understanding cycles can help us better support our partners, friends, and community. Register here via Campus Groups.
