 enguin\, November 2011). Karl Pillemer is the Hazel E. Reed Professor in t
 he Department of Human Development and Professor of Gerontology in Medicin
 e at the Weill Cornell Medical College. In his book\, he turns to our elde
 rs for collective wisdom and practical advice on how to make the most of o
 ur lives. After interviewing more than one thousand Americans over the age
  of sixty-five on issues relating to children\, love and marriage\, living
  through loss or illness\, money\, career\, and aging\, he found many surp
 rising answers. The book was named to the list of “Best Self-Help Books
