Black History Month Dinner - Soul Food

A series of dinners are scheduled starting Thursday, January 31, 2013 through Thursday, February 28, 2012 to celebrate Black History Month at Cornell University. The events are sponsored in part by Black Students United, Campus Life, Cornell University West Campus House System and Cornell Dining.

In an effort to enrich student, faculty and staff experiences of Black cultures, Cornell Dining is sponsoring a variety of special dinners throughout the month. The dinners which will take place at various dining rooms around campus and will feature cuisine ranging from Caribbean to West African.

This dinner's menu features ham and black-eyed pea soup; shrimp, corn, & crab chowder; pulled pork and BBQ ribs; fried green tomatoes with buttermilk dressing; southern fried catfish; sweet potato casserole; shrimp and grits with andouille sausage; peach cobbler or pecan pie; and more.
