Beginning Farmer Discussion Series: Irrigation System Design and Management

Get ready for the 2023 growing season! Join Madison CCE for our new monthly farmer discussion group (aimed at farmers in their first ten years of growing, but totally open to all!!). 

We'll kick off the first half of each session with a presentation on a seasonal topic (or challenge!) and follow up with plenty of time for questions, talking, and sharing experiences of the ups and downs of food production in CNY.

In April, we’ll look at irrigation systems, talk about overhead and drip options, water sources and quality, and how to design, layout, and set up a system that works for your farm and water capacity. We’ll also talk about sourcing and maintaining the lines across the season.
