“Poetry and Mysticism” with French music including César Franck’s Prière, the first of Charles Tournemire’s Trois Poèmes, and the French-inspired Prelude and Fugue in A Minor by Swedish composer Emil Sjögren. Benjamin Kjell is a doctoral student in organ performance and literature at Eastman School of Music in the studio of Nathan Laube. A native of Sweden, he received a bachelor’s degree in church music (2018) and a master’s degree in organ and related keyboard instruments (2021) at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where he studied organ and clavichord performance.
