Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be hosting a free beginning farmers’ workshop held on Thursday, September 26th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mexico Public Library, located at 3269 Main St, Mexico, NY 13114.

Presenters will be Kellie Greene, Senior Business Advisor from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Kellie will be introducing the Oswego SBDC, talk through the basics on how to start an agriculture business, and discuss some of the key factors of running a successful small business. Joshua Vrooman, Agriculture Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, will also provide a short overview of the cooperative extension system, including some of the educational resources available to beginning farmers.
