“The Cornell Brewing Extension Lab is offering a Beer Sensory Evaluation short course designed specifically for brewers, tasting room staff, and beer aficionados seeking to expand and hone their understanding of beer flavor and sensory methodology. Dr. Anna Katharine Mansfield will kick off the workshop with a lecture series on the physiology of taste and aroma, including guided tastings to complement the theories discussed. Following this more academic lecture series, Lindsay Barr will offer industry focused perspectives and discuss ways to put theory into practice. Over the course of two days, participants will gain a new appreciation for the intricacies of beer flavor, and learn valuable techniques for applying sensory as both a tool to make decisions on beer quality and develop new products in the brewery.”
