Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Capital Area Agriculture & Horticulture Program (CAAHP) is offering five 2 ½ hour classes on business planning and farm business management designed to help your agricultural business achieve success. The classes are being held in five counties and are led by the Capital Area Ag & Hort Program’s Farm Business Management Educator, Sandy Buxton, who will clarify how to avoid some of the pitfalls that strike many small businesses and connect participants with helpful resources. Participants will also learn about regulations and build a business plan to attract financing.

The class on business planning and farm business management is designed to help agricultural businesses achieve success. Participants will learn about regulations and build a business plan to attract financing. A past participant said “I didn’t know what kind of questions to ask before and what was available for resources.”

Registration is $25 for the first person and $10 for each additional participant from the same business. Numerous resources will be distributed during class to provide participants with valuable materials to assist their process.

• November 9, 2016, 6:00-8:30 pm at CCE-Albany, 24 Martin Rd, Voorheesville
• December 5, 2016, 6:00-8:30 pm at CCE-Rensselaer, 61 State St, Troy
• December 17, 2016, 9:30 am-noon at CCE-Washington, 411 Lower Main St, Hudson Falls
