ity preservation in wildlife'\n \n\nJennifer Nagashima is a Research Biolog
ist with Smithsonian's National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute (NZCBI
) in the Center for Species Survival. Nagashima’s research in the domestic
dog and cat focuses on expanding understanding of basic reproductive biolog
y to develop biomimetic assisted reproductive technologies. Specific resear
ch concentrations include utilizing a microfluidic ovary-on-a-chip to under
stand the impact of biomimetic gonadotropin hormone stimulation on ovarian
cell function\, and interrogating the roles of extracellular vesicles in me
diating gamete developmental competence. In collaboration with the Associat
ion of Zoos and Aquariums Red Wolf’s Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE)
program and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service\, Dr. Nagashima aims to enha
nce gamete and gonadal tissue cryopreservation and establish non-invasive m

Cornell University in animal science in 2009\, and her doctorate in Zoolog
 y and Wildlife Conservation in 2015. \n\n \n\nRegistration is required\, pl
