Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County (CCE Schuyler) is hosting a Backyard Maple Syrup Workshop on Thursday January 25, 2024 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Schuyler County Human Service Complex, 323 Owego St, Montour Falls. The registration fee to attend this workshop is $10 per person and includes cheese pizza.

Participants will learn how to identify maple trees and review the process to make maple syrup including tapping trees, collecting sap, and processing sap into syrup, along with learning how to access educational resources available through the Cornell Maple Program. This educational program will also include an overview of advanced topics such as making syrup from birch trees and creating value-added products such as maple marshmallows.
