, Haven: Cornell's LGBT Student Union, and Cornell Hillel present a lecture by Assi Azar. Named by OUT Magazine in 2009 as one of the most 100 influential gay people in the world, Assi Azar is the host of Israel's Big Brother TV show. The Ryan Seacrest of the Holy Land, Azar is a well-known TV personality. After coming out as gay in 2005, he created a documentary about coming out in Israel. Azar continues to advocate for gay rights, sharing his experience as a proud, gay man living in Israel.
