https://aroundtheworld1.eventbrite.comTake a stroll around Cornell Botanic Gardens and take a trip around the world! On this walking tour you’ll encounter a selection of eight plants from five continents. Each plant - tree, shrub, or perennial - has significant cultural importance to the societies that grow and utilize them. Some are highly cultivated, and others are harvested from the forest with thoughtful ceremony. From simple sustenance to a striving for beauty, to connecting to one’s place in the divine, come learn how these plants have played a role in human civilization. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Tours are offered rain or shine but may be cancelled in the event of severe or hazardous weather. Please come prepared for the weather.
