Celebrate Arbor Day with Cornell Botanic Gardens' Arboriculture Supervisor Daniel Weitoish on this walk to discover the wonderful variety of trees around the Nevin Welcome Center.  We’ll visit some of Daniel’s favorites -- including Metasequoia, Ginko, Sciadopitys, Davidia, and Magnolia – and learn how they can benefit and enhance the home landscape.  The walk will conclude with some how-to instructions for planting and caring for your own trees at home, as well as tips for pot-bound roots, planting depth, and deer protection.   Walk will be held rain, snow or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
