Pruning is one of the most important parts of orchard maintenance. Pruning is also an ideal time to scout your orchard for pest issues and orchard health. Join David Barnet (Rochester Folk Art Guild) and Caroline Boutard-Hunt (CCE-Yates County) for an interactive workshop teaching you the art and science behind proper pruning of apple trees and pest scouting with plenty of time for hands-on practice.

Cost: sliding scale 0-$20, optional, pay as you can


The workshop will be held outside so please dress for the weather. You may bring your own pruning shears (recommended) or take turns with the pairs provided.
