“Song and Dance: Old and New Music for the Schnitger-Style Organ.” Music of five centuries, including works by J. S. Bach, Corelli, Scheidemann, and Natalie Draper.
American concert organist Anne Laver performs a program of dances, chorales, and fugues spanning five centuries on the Baroque-style organ in Anabel Taylor chapel. Alongside music by J. S. Bach, Corelli and Scheidemann, we will hear "Pattern Dances," a new piece commissioned by Dr. Laver from Syracuse-based composer Natalie Draper.
