 very\n\nSpeaker Bio: Dr. Man-Wah Tan is an accomplished researcher and lea
 der who currently serves as Vice President and Senior Fellow at Genentech 
 Research and Early Development\, where he heads the Infectious Diseases Th
 erapeutic Area and the Translational Immunology departments. His work focu
 ses on developing innovative therapeutics for infectious diseases\, while 
 also exploring host-microbe interactions and the role of the microbiota in
  gastrointestinal tract\, lung\, and immuno-oncology. Dr. Tan has been ins
 trumental in the discovery of one FDA-approved medicine and six clinical a
 ssets\, including small molecules\, monoclonal antibodies and antibody-ant
 ibiotic conjugates. Prior to joining Genentech in 2010\, he spent over twe
 lve years as a faculty member at Stanford University School of Medicine in
  the Departments of Genetics and Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Tan hold
 s a Ph.D. from Harvard University\, where he began his career as a Harvard
  Junior Fellow\, and an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge.
