 biology from the University of Toulouse\, (France) under the supervision o
 f Dr. Olivier Neyrolles. During his Ph.D.\, he investigated how Mycobacter
 ium tuberculosis\, the causative agent of tuberculosis\, scavenges nitroge
 n sources to survive and grow during infection. As a post-doctoral researc
 her and now an Assistant Professor in the laboratory of Sabine Ehrt at Wei
 ll Cornell Medicine (New York\, USA)\, Dr. Gouzy studies the role M. tuber
 culosis nutrition and metabolism in resistance to host immunity and anti-t
 uberculosis drugs.
