Agricultural Literacy Month is happening in March 2023! 

How Does Agricultural Literacy Month  Work?

In celebration of New York agriculture, volunteers throughout the state will read a book with an agricultural theme to elementary students. Students and teachers will also benefit from hands-on lessons and receive follow up activities. The book will be donated to the school or classroom library.

VOLUNTEERS:

Please register to visit a classroom to deliver this free program provided by Monroe County Farm Bureau and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County's 4-H Youth Development Program, and sponsored by New York Agriculture in the Classroom. The program lasts 45 minutes. If you would like to register for more than one time slot, you will need to register each separately.

Please register for a time slot convenient for you. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once you have registered, and another e-mail once you are assigned a classroom.

If your preferred district/school is not on the list, please check back or contact the office as we will be registering classrooms for this program through February 28, 2023.
