Over the last two decades, there has been little advancement in the development of PCR enzymes utilized to amplify libraries for next-generation sequencing workflows – until now. Backed by the recent Wellcome Sanger Benchmarking Study, repliQa HiFi ToughMix has demonstrated itself to be the top performing option for both short-read and long-read sequencing applications. With a newly engineered high-fidelity enzyme (90x WT Taq) and optimally formulated PCR master mix, repliQa HiFi ToughMix reduces time to results with amplification speeds up to 1 sec/kb for targets < 1 kb, as well as improves overall genome coverage and sequencing quality with its ability to amplify targets up to 40 kb and 85% GC content.

To facilitate improved first-strand cDNA synthesis for difficult and low yield samples, we engineered our novel qScript Ultra enzyme as an inhibitor-tolerant RNase H(-) RT with enhanced thermostability. This next generation reverse transcriptase displays superior velocity and processivity with elevated activity over a broad range of temperatures (up to 65°C). The enhanced stability and speed of qScript Ultra enables it to overcome challenging secondary structures and synthesizes 20kb targets in just 10 minutes, with up to 30 kb transcripts possible using a longer synthesis time. These distinct properties make this enzyme ideal for multiple downstream applications such as rapid RNA virus sequencing and targeted full-length mRNA sequencing in long and short read platforms.
