BEE 6640 Sustainable Bioenergy Seminar Series:

Dr. Armen Kemanian will join us remotely for an interactive webinar presentation. For the past five years he has led the sustainability thrust for the large Northeast US willow/warm-season grass sustainable bioenergy consortium (NEWBio). He will cover some modeling basics as applied to bioenergy crops in the Northeast US, including up to watershed scales. He will also frame the subject at larger (regional, national, global) scales, recognizing the evolution of renewable energy and current market structures, and the symbiotic roles of bioenergy production and ecosystem services provision.
