AASP Wednesday Lunch Series with Reanna Esmail

Join us virtually for our Wednesday Lunch Series, featuring guest speakers from Cornell's faculty and staff as well as the surrounding community. Enjoy your lunch during an informal discussion, where you can learn more about the speaker's work or research, how they ended up doing what they are doing, current issues in higher education, or even their thoughts on living in Ithaca. Reanna Esmail is the Outreach and Engagement Librarian at Cornell University Library. Working in Olin Library's Research and Learning Services Department, she coordinates library orientation, oversees Arts & Sciences advising sessions, and supports other outreach efforts across campus. Reanna is also the Library Liaison to the Latinx Studies Program and the Asian American Studies Program. As both a library instructor and outreach coordinator, she is particularly interested in critical pedagogy and providing services for various campus communities, especially those that have historically been underserved and underrepresented. She is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where she received a Master of Science in Library and Information Science. In addition to her MS, Reanna has an MA in English from the Freie Universität Berlin, where she wrote a thesis on cult film, post-humanism, and post-colonial studies. She received her BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
