About this Event
Central Campus
Join us for our Wednesday Lunch Series, featuring guest speakers from Cornell's faculty and staff as well as the surrounding community. Enjoy an informal discussion where you can learn more about the speaker’s work or research, how they ended up doing what they are doing, current issues in higher education, or even their thoughts on living in Ithaca. A free lunch will be served.
Ray grew up on the southern coast of Maine in a town where his family was one of two non-white families. He attended Vassar, where he learned the key role that good advising plays in an excellent undergraduate education. He went on to earn a graduate degree in international management and worked for a large financial services firm while earning a second graduate degree in global technology management. He has worked in Arts & Sciences Admissions and Advising since 2004 and is honored to serve as Director of A&S Advising as of January 2021. When he’s not working with students, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education Lisa Nishii, and their two teenage children, as well as reading, watching sports, traveling, and DJ’ing.
