Mayra Miranda (they/she) is a senior from Lima, Peru living in NYC studying Chemical Engineering. She is also minoring in Sustainable Energy Systems. Outside of the classroom, she endeavors in multiple sustainable energy projects and is interested in creating engineering to be more equitable and sustainable. In their free time, Mayra enjoys going out to nature and painting imperfectly. In multiple trials and errors, she enjoys veganizing Peruvian food and trying out new recipes. Mayra will share her story of shifting from Lima to NYC and how Cornell affected and change her. During her Becoming Talk, Mayra will be talking on their identity, personal growth, experiences in both countries and journey in life!
