Join us for our BeComing Lunch Series with Justin Lowe!
The Asian American Studies Program and the Asian and Asian American Center present the BeComing Lunch Series (formerly Praxis), a student lunch series that provides space for people from Cornell and beyond to speak about their experiences and growth as individuals. Come enjoy a catered lunch and learn from our speakers. Free and open to all!
Justin Lowe is a senior from Kingston, Jamaica studying Economics in the College of Arts & Sciences. He identifies as Jamaican Chinese, and his experiences at Cornell throughout college have been defined by his affinity towards advocacy for Caribbean communities in various spaces. He recently started a blog in which he discusses experiences surrounding his identity such as studying abroad in Spain as a person of color, and shares advice surrounding related topics. He is also a professional steelpan soloist, and has been performing locally in Jamaica and internationally for over 12 years. During his BeComing talk he'll be speaking on his experiences throughout Cornell as a Jamaican-Chinese person and sharing stories and advice on his journey to where he's at today.
