 essions throughout the day. Our time with Daphne will build upon Cornell’s 
 adoption of the Okanagan Charter last fall. Cornell faculty\, staff\, and s
 tudents will be invited to envision\, explore\, and contribute to Cornell’s
  on-going transformation into a health-promoting and sustainable campus. \n

 r\nDaphne Frias is a 25-year-old youth activist. She is unapologetically La
 tina. Daphne has Cerebral Palsy\, and uses a wheelchair to ambulate. She is
  fiercely proud to be a loud champion for the disabled community. Active in
  the fight against gun violence and for voting rights\, Daphne has been fig
 hting the climate crisis as well. Her work deconstructs the silos between d
 isability and the climate crisis with a public health approach. She was app
 ointed as spokesperson for the global climate strikes that took place on Se
 ptember 20th\, 2019. Most recently she was featured as a key panelist at th
 e New York Times Climate hub in a conversation moderated by Emma Watson. Sh
 e has no intention of backing down until the health of our earth is secure.
  Her work has been featured in the Sierra Club\, Teen Vogue\, PopSugar\, NP
 R\, Vice\, Elle\, among many others.\n \n\nCo-sponsors\nHosted by the Campu
