Veterinary Science Exploration


Veterinary Science Exploration is a great way to learn about what Veterinarians do, gain animal experience and to have fun with hands-on learning. The program will meet once a week in March at different locations through the counties. 


Open to enrolled 4-H Members (ages 8-18)


Dates, Time and Location: 


Thursday, March 7: Topic: Equine Body Scoring - Location: DJ Farm Boonville Time: 6:30-8pm


Monday, March 11: Topic: Dairy Health and Farm Tour - Location: Insight Dairy LLC, Little Falls Time: 6:30-8pm


Monday, March 18: Topic: Exotic Pets - Location: PetZotics, Verona Time: 6:30-8pm


Friday, March 29: Topic: Small Animals Vet Hospital - Location: Herkimer Vet Associates, West Winfield Time: 10am-11:30am


Please try to arrive on time or a few minutes early. 


Dress for a New York Evening Winter Weather as we will be in the barn/outside for some of the workshops. 


Due to Limited Space and Demand, there is a $5 no show fee for workshops signed up for but not attended. Space is Limited to 15 Youth due to location spacing. With this in mind each workshop is limited to participant and guardian only. Any no show workshops will be billed an invoice of $5 per workshop following the completion of the program.
