https://reg.cce.cornell.edu/4HKickoff2024_230Dear 4-H Parents, Leaders and Volunteers,
It’s hard to believe the start of the new 4-H Year is just around the corner (October 1st).
Oneida County 4-H along with the State offices have overcome significant challenges due to COVID over the past year. These challenges are bringing forth a renewed initiative to resurrect the traditional values and educational opportunities that 4-H has been known for. Our primary focus will continue to be Youth Development, along with our mission mandates of Civic Responsibility, Healthy Lifestyles, and STEM.
None of this would be possible without the commitment of our volunteers. We respect your efforts and in the future we want to be able to support you more. In order to do this we must open the doors of communication. At this workshop we will be discussing the upcoming changes as well as investigating solutions to some of your suggestions, concerns and comments.
4-H Leaders are required to attend one Enrollment Meeting and if they are unable they must send another volunteer in their place. Important topics will be covered including Enrollment Paperwork, Financial Requirements and Upcoming Events and Programs!
Oneida County has a large proportion of Independent 4-H Members. For various reasons these youth are unable to participate in the typical "Club" format. We STRONGLY encourage parents of these youth to attend this meeting to learn about a new opportunities for all youth!
We look forward to another successful 4-H Year. We couldn't do it without you!
Both Meeting Options will be held at 121 Second Street, Oriskany at the CCE Office.
October 3rd, Thursday, Meeting starts at 6:30pm
October 5th, Saturday, Meeting starts at 10:00am
RSVP Required.
Once again we will be distributing the Joanne Fabrics Donations at these meetings. Please come prepared to take stuff back for your members.
REMEMBER if you take something it MUST be used at a 4-H meeting and SHOWN at the County Fair!
