2024 LIT’s and CIT’s!

Can you believe it’s already 2024???  Camp is in full swing preparing for the Summer, and we are beginning to put together an awesome staff team!  Many of you, by completing the LIT or CIT program, have demonstrated your interest in working for Camp at some point in the future, and we’d love a chance to talk to you about that!  To that end, we would like to cordially invite you to our Staff Information Night, to be held January 29, at our winter office located at 480 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, starting at 7pm.

This program is designed specifically for those who have completed the LIT or CIT program AND are going to be at least 16 years of age by July 1, who are specifically interested in working at camp this summer.  The presentation will be led by Camp Director Jessica Middleton and myself, and will focus on the benefits of working at camp, how it plays into your long term career goals, and how we at camp support those goals.  Camp employment does so much for a young adults growth and development; far more than just “singing songs and playing games with kids” as some people think.  Learn how your time working at camp can support your skills in team development, creative problem solving, program planning, public speaking, conflict resolution, and so so so much  more.  Begin to think about how the skills you develop at camp can translate for college applications, future job interviews, resume writing, etc.

We will also discuss the application process, who is eligible for what roles, what a typical day would look like for you while working at Camp, salaries, and all of that sort of detailed information.  The program is intended to be helpful and beneficial to both the aspiring staff member, and their parents, to better understand all the benefits and considerations of Camp employment.  We hope that you will consider spending an hour with us for this FREE discussion about how you, your family, and the Camp can benefit from the full 4-H Camp Bristol Hills experience.

Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
