2022 Conservation Education Days


Tuesday September 20th or September 27th
with rain dates of Thursday September 22nd & September 29th.
(please note:  this years rain dates will remain on THURSDAY)


Join us at the Delta Lake State Park in Rome from 9:45 am-1:30 pm for a fun filled day learning about  the wildlife, forest, soil, and waters in New York State along with an opportunity to engage in outdoor activities and learn of possible career options.  
This program is open to all 6th grade classes in Oneida County as a fun educational event. 


· Gain a better understanding of the ecological balance among humans, wildlife, forest, soil and waters of New York State


· Gain exposure to various outdoor activities available in New York State


· Gain exposure to a variety of conservation career opportunities


 


REGISTRATION DEADLINE DATE IS June 10th. Registration will be handled on a FIRST-COME BASIS. THIS EVENT DOES FILL UP VERY QUICKLY AND MAXIMUM NUMBER (per each day) MAY BE REACHED BEFORE THE DEADLINE DATE.
(If you can only attend on your preference date, indicate on the registration.)
1 teacher from each school should register for all the 6th grade classes in your school.


NOTE* We are uncertain if the grant that was available to assist with transportation costs will have funding this year. The Connect Kids to Parks Field Trip Grant Program (Connect Kids) is a field trip refund grant program connecting New York schoolchildren with nature and New York State history. (reimbursement for transportation IS available with this grant)
