2017 4-H Shooting Sports Muzzleloader Training

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Kuneytown Sportsmens Club, 3735 North Hoster Road Seneca Falls, New York 13148

Ready, Aim, Fire! Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Shooting Sports program will be conducting a 4-H Muzzleloader Training.
Youth ages 9 years and older will learn how to load powder, patch and ball, and shoot a muzzleloading firearm at this clinic.
All of the equipment will be provided by 4-H for this event.
The fee for the program is $5 for current Seneca County 4-H members, and $20 for non-4-H members (which includes handouts and a 1 year membership in 4-H). Pre-registration is required.
The NYS Shooting Sports program utilizes the resources of the land-grant university system and the time, talent and dedication of state and nationally certified Cornell Cooperative Extension educators and 4-H volunteers. Safety is always the primary focus of the program, along with positive youth development skills. The emphasis of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens. The activities of the 4-H Shooting Sports program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth and conservation ethics. Some of the specific objectives of the program include: teaching self-discipline, problem solving, sportsmanship and appreciation and understanding of natural resources. The shooting sports program is also an opportunity to strengthen families through participation in lifelong recreational activities. We do recommend that a parent or guardian accompany the youth participants whenever possible.
Come join this program in which youth can experience learning that is hands-on, fun and safe.
