4-H Jr. Iron Chef: Fresh Salsa Challenge

Calling all aspiring Chefs! We are looking for 4-H youth age 10 and up who have an interest in cooking and wish to challenge their creativity in the kitchen. This event is designed to encourage youth to learn new skills in cooking to lead a healthier lifestyle through a fun and education team challenge. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the Buffalo Farm to School program and other food and nutrition related programs in Erie County.

When: Friday, April 28th from 5-7:30pm
Where: South Side Elementary (430 Southside Pkwy, Buffalo)
How: Online registration is required.
There is a $5 entry fee per person to be paid on the day of the event.
Teams are to consist of 3-4 youth
There will be a maximum of 10 teams
Registration Opens March 10 and Closes April 19

Tentative Event Schedule:
5-5:30pm: Registration and Mingling
5:30-6pm: Knife Skills Lesson and Event Info
6-7pm: Salsa Competition, Awards upon conclusion
