When Women Unite: Self Help Groups in India and development versus the gender question

Ranjana Das will talk about the evolution of Self Help Groups, their involvement into development work in India, the struggles against social odds, successes, challenges and moreover whether this model has been transformative towards gender relations. She also will discuss how self help groups are involved in cooperative farming.

Ranjana Das, a Humbert H Humphrey Fellow, is a regional manager, for OXFAM India.
