Lettuce tell you all about this event…
Sip one of 6 local beers or try a cocktail featuring all New York State spirits while enjoying music from two farmer-led bands. Share a laugh over farm puns (trust me, this night will be corn-y) with Groundswell board, staff, and friends in this new concert venue or …wander next door to the NorthStar beer garden and bask in the glory of supporting a just and equitable food system.
Proceeds benefit Groundswell Center for Local Food & Farming AND Ithaca Welcomes Refugees.
Tickets: $8 advance/$10 door

Local Farmers Union is 4 piece Folk-Rock band that loves to sing songs, many of them about vegetables. They started in May of 2015 at a Taco Tuesday on a farm in Homer, NY, when 3 farmers started a jam. Bob Cat’s love of veggies inspired him to write “The Kale Song” among a handful of other songs about vegetables. They continued to expand their repertoire with songs about farming, 90’s rock, and some comedy.
The Reality Cult plays all original eclectically influenced rock. Born out of Binghamton the band’s up-beat sound is infused with an ironic lyrical darkness. The Reality Cult can hold to the conciseness of pop
music while also falling cleanly outside of this category. Their music drives forward–sometimes with great excitement–while remaining true to the melodic verses and multi-layered percussion that make up the
details of the band’s shimmering sound.
